Investigate and describe the role of central government in the administration and provision of sport.

Task:
Creatw two potsts on your blog, One titled 'DFES' and the other 'DCMS' (these are the two main Government departments involved in the provision for sport in the UK.


You will need to search the websites of tehse two organisations, selecting the most important and interesting facts, relevant to how sport in the UK is run.


Screen shots can be taken and key areas annotated and explained in your own words.

You should comment on the various roles including:

·         policymaking - eg recommendations for time allocated to sport in schools
     targeted initiatives – giving eg’s of target groups and what is being done to increase the participation rates
    legislation related to sport (eg gambling laws, planning laws)
    funding of sport (eg through budgetary allocation to local authorities)
