Task
You must analyse the roles of (Sports Leaders UK and Sports Coach UK)
This task will take the form of two assessments for each organisation.
- A guest speaker from each organisation will visit the school. You will be assessed on the notes you take during their presentation and your contribution to discussions about the roles of the organisation, and the extent to which they achieve them.
- With the information gathered from the talk and additional research from the internet, you will present your own presentation to the Head of PE, posing as a representative from the organisation. You will be asked questions about the purpose of the organisation, and the extent to which they are achieving its roles.
Your analysis should be based on:
• roles of the organisation, ie what is their purpose, and
• the extent to which the organisation is achieving its roles
Pass
Candidates provide a basic analysis of the roles of two national organisations involved in the development of sport.
Merit
Candidates provide a detailed analysis of the roles of two national organisations involved in the development of sport. Their analysis demonstrates a sound understanding of the purpose of each organisation.
Distinction
Candidates provide a comprehensive
analysis of the roles of two national organisations involved in the development of sport. Their analysis
demonstrates a thorough understanding of the purpose of each organisation and the extent to which they are achieving their roles.
